What’s Happening With Hawaii Short Term Rentals?

The Hawaii short-term rentals are a Hot Topic in Hawaii right now at the state level. Bills 121, 122 and 123 are currently in the planning comission and they seek to restrict the amount of short term vacation rentals in residential areas and impose fees and higher taxes on STVRs
These new regulations will posssibly run many STVRrs out business completely and they could negatively impact the way people are currently traveling to the island.
If you are considering buying a home that has an STVR permit, under the current regulation you can continue to opearate as usual, just keep in mind that this permit is not granted in perpetuity. If you need to learn more please use the links below:
