In this 'Let's Eat' Hawaii LIVE episode we visit 'Surf & Tacos' - one of our FAVORITES! Is this 1 of the BEST under $20 meal in Waikiki?

We have dined at Surf & Tacos many times and the Taste, Value, Service and Location are top notch. But never on a 'Let's Eat' episode and man are we glad we did so today.

Restaurant: Surf & Tacos - Waikiki
Located: Across from International Marketplace
Address: 2310 Kūhiō Ave. Ste 100, Honolulu, HI 96815
Phone: (808) 922-8226
Menu: surfnturftacowaikiki.com

We ordered the Spicey Garlic Shrimp Taco Bowl: $17.50 (we added Guacamole for $2.00 which is included)

The 12 perfectly cooked Garlic Shrimp topped the Garlic Rice, Black Beans, Cilantro, Corn, Jalapeno, and Habanero sauce....it was AWESOME!

'Let's Eat' Score. We rate the entire experience and grade the following categories on a scale of 1 to 5; Service, Taste, Value, Atmosphere and Presentation.

We do not grade the 'Value' or 'Presentation' of a luxury Steakhouse experience the same as we do a 'Burger Joint.'

- Service: Always great but you can expect a wait in busy times. Score: 4.5

- Taste: They really do a great job. Score: 5

- Value: This is a great option for under $20 in Waikiki. Score: 4.5

- Atmosphere: They offer seating inside which is great to eat 'open air' - Score: 4

- Presentation: Just what you would expect, but nothing more. Score: 4.5 (It's so BIG!)

Total 'Let's Eat' Score: 22

Why watch a 'Let's Eat' Hawaii LIVE episode?

Our 'Let's Eat' Hawaii LIVE episodes are recorded LIVE in the selected restaurant and they are produced as an 'In Real Life' experience.

Why our 'Let's Eat' Hawaii LIVE episodes are 'different' and unlike many of the 'Food Influencer' videos you may see on Instagram, Facebook or YouTube?

- We do not 'set up' the restaurant in advance of our Live Stream and rarely ever let the restaurant know that we are giving a 'live review.' We show up as a guest, just like you.

- We do not appear on camera and 'pose' with the food. The food and restaurant are the subjects and that is what we believe YOU want to see. Not our super beautiful faces.

- We do not ask for or accept, discounts or freebies. If you see it, we paid for it.

- We do not 'produce' the Live Stream with video cuts, graphics or music and we do not take hours to produce the episode. We start and stop the episode exactly as you see it. We want the experience to be a 'In Real Life' as possible.

- We want you to see the experience EXACTLY as you would experience it in 'real life.' If the service is GREAT or poor, you see it. If the tables are dirty or clean, you see it. If the time to receive the food is timely or terribly slow, you see it.

- We rate the entire experience, then and there on camera and grade the following categories on a scall of 1 to 5; Service, Taste, Value, Atmosphere and Presentation.

Kulolo: A Sweet Banana Coconut Treat
