World Record Waves at Nazaré: Surfing A 100-Foot Wave

Was a new world record set on this day at day in Nazaré? Lucas “Chumbo” Chianca rode a wave at Nazaré that may have eclipsed the current record of 26.21 m (86 feet), ridden by Sebastian Steudtner.

The HBO documentary series titled "100 Foot Wave" was filmed at Nazaré because the location is internationally renowned for hosting some of the biggest waves on the planet.
