Walking around surf spots of Hikkaduwa a lovely surf town in Sri Lanka in November 2022 🏄🏾‍♂️

Hikkaduwa is a place first discovered by surfers and hippies in the 70's. The name itself brings to mind distant exotic journeys. The town is the first place that gained popularity among surfers and travelers. Today the town has the best tourist infrastructure in the country. I'm walking around town in August 2022 after the political upheaval and economic crisis of the first half of the year. The place is safe and worth visiting. Every dollar spent locally helps local communities rebuild their lives after the economic crisis that hit the country in the first half of the year 🌏🌴🌊
