Happy New Year Everyone!!
2022 was an amazing year! It was not without its challenges or hard moments, in fact it had a lot of them, but it was still an amazing year!! John spent the first part of the year separated from the family #armylife and the girls and I stayed with my mom in Denver, Colorado. Mountain biking, dirt biking, hiking and exploring were the start of the year. Once the army finally granted us command sponsorship we flew out to join John on the island of Oahu and moved everything out to hawaii. After spending a rocky month in a hotel waiting for housing and our household goods, we started to explore more and more. Waterfall hikes, great food, and endless beaches, snorkeling, and finally getting into surfing. We are so grateful to be stationed here in Hawaii and grateful to be together as a family! #hawaii #2022

πŸͺ– If you new to our channel, we are a military family stationed in Hawaii for the next few years. John, my husband, re-enlisted in the military after being out for ten years. Kind of crazy. But John was a Marine and he loved the Marines. Afghanistan Veteran. The only reason he got out was for me. Back before online jobs or school, he gave up the Marines and allowed me to start my career. I had an amazing career spending years growing and working with Target as a Store Director. But with Covid came many changes. One of those was the desire to stay home and homeschool Alexandra and Hailey. And so it opened the door for John to do whatever he wanted to do. He re-enlisted, but this time we both agreed the Army. After being out so long, John had to go through Basic training again or OSUT. Six months of that followed by waiting for command sponsorship for our first OCONUS move and the family has been apart for 10 months. Crazy considering this wasn't a deployment. But we made it! We are now stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii for the next 2 to 3 years and feel truly blessed to be stationed here!
