The Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational, is a big wave surfing tournament held at Waimea Bay on the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii. The tournament is named for native Hawaiian, champion big wave surfer, and life-saving Waimea Bay lifeguard, Eddie Aikau.
This year Michael & Mason Ho are the first ever father and son to surf the prestigious event. Michael being 65 years of age and Mason 34. Its been a life long dream for both of them to surf The EDDIE together. Mason got a big bad gash on his leg prior to the event but wouldn’t miss this chance for anything.
