Summary:
Got to hit the water with Affordable Wahoo again! The morning got off to a bit of a rough start. I had some rudder issues in the morning which made me late in getting to the bait area. I think I'm still trying to adjust to the gear I have there, but after this trip I hope that I have all the kinks ironed out. There's a bunch of misses in here that I use as learning experiences, and I hope you can learn a little something and avoid these mistakes too! Through it all, we managed to bring home 1.5 shibis (yellow fin tunas) and some good lessons. Sorry I threw that Munu back Shea, and I definitely keep trying for that papio for your pond Chucky!

Main and backup rods: Ugly Stick 6’6” Med Heavy x2
Bait rod: Shimano Solora Med Light 6’6” (Not advised, too short and too light, I need a new rod up there for bait).

Owner Tournament Mutu 4/0 circle hooks (Tokunagas), Gamakatsu 4/0 & 5/0 live bait hooks, Diablo or VMC 2/0 inline hooks for stinger when using wire (hifishgear.com BKK Lone Diablo Inline Hook — HiFishGear).
Damashi: Homemade using line between 12-16lb, typically J-Flouro Samurai. I either tie my own flies. When using lures, I like Tylah lures or CHL Nox Minnows, both I set up with gold hooks and a red bead which I find to be very effective and highly recommend them.
