Aloha Guys, Maly here from Discover The Big Island Real Estate and in this video I am going to discuss why you should not skip a survey or staking.
When purchasing property in Hawaii, it is always recommended, and most times required by lenders, that a survey or staking of the property be performed. Please note that this may not apply to condominium complexes. The purchase contract has two options regarding Staking and Survey in section K. We have option K1 which addresses staking or K-2 is which addresses survey. As a real estate professional, I always recommend that the purchaser choose a survey.
