Today we visited Pearl Harbor and took the boat to the USS Arizona Memorial — one of the most emotional and unforgettable experiences we’ve had in Hawaii.

This video isn’t a history lesson. It’s about what the experience actually feels like: arriving at Pearl Harbor, walking through the memorial grounds, taking the Navy boat across the harbor, standing above the USS Arizona shipwreck, and feeling the weight and silence of a place where history still lives beneath the water.

The USS Arizona sank during the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, after a catastrophic explosion. 1,177 sailors and Marines lost their lives aboard the ship — nearly half of all American casualties that day. More than 900 remain entombed inside the wreck, making this an active memorial and resting place, not just a tourist attraction.

One of the most haunting details: the ship still leaks tiny drops of oil to the surface today, often called the “black tears of the Arizona.”

If you’re planning a trip to Oahu and wondering whether Pearl Harbor is worth visiting, this video will show you the full experience beyond just facts and museums — the atmosphere, emotion, reflection, and what it’s truly like to stand above one of the most significant sites in American history.
