The Last USS Arizona Survivor Just Died at 102 | Today in History Short

Lou Conter, the last living survivor from the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor, passed away in California in April 2024 at age 102. He was just 20 years old on December 7, 1941, when the Japanese attacked. During the chaos, he helped pull fellow sailors from the burning ship. After Pearl Harbor, he became a Navy pilot, flying patrol missions in PBY Catalinas. He was shot down twice but survived.
