A ceremony is held to honor the 2,403 lives lost and the legacy of the soldiers who defended America during World War II, from the opening battle of December 7, 1941, until peace was secured on Sept. 2, 1945. The ceremony is a tribute to the courage, service, and sacrifice of our Greatest Generation.
