Monuments Valley is a place out of time. This is a sacred place, and it’s easy to see why.

There’s just something that strikes you about this place, something that penetrates to your very core. It looks like it doesn’t belong to this world, or it couldn’t belong in this world.

The dry stone reaches out of the desert toward the heavens for what human hands have strived for throughout time, but could never quite reach. You feel old here, ancient beyond the stars.

It gives you a sense of smallness, like you’re a speck of dust in the vastness of space, and yet able to reach out and touch the furthest frontiers of what is known and unknown.

It’s the backdrop against which the American hero rides off into the sunset, like the gateway of eternity.
