1,000 synchronized drones lit up the night sky of Victoria Harbor in Hong Kong

A spectacular light show involving over 1,000 synchronized drones lit up the night sky over the West Kowloon Cultural District in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Thursday night, to celebrate China's traditional Dragon Boat Festival.

As the show began, over 1,000 drones soared into the sky, and formed colorful patterns and Chinese characters over Victoria Harbor.

Guests from Hong Kong's political and business circles, social and cultural organizations, the media, and citizens on both sides of Victoria Harbor watched the stunning display.

This was the largest drone light show ever to be staged in Hong Kong, and was also the first time that Dragon Boat Festival folk customs were showcased in a light show at Victoria Harbor.

The event was guided by the HKSAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central Government in Hong Kong, and hosted by Bauhinia Culture Holdings Limited. The organizers said they wanted to bring Hong Kong citizens a unique folk experience through the perfect combination of traditional culture and modern technology.
