Drinking Hawaiian ‘Awa in Kona at Kanaka Kava

Chef Ellard goes to Kanaka Kava Bar to sample the Polynesian root drink known as kava. In Hawai'i, kava is called ‘awa. At this bar, they serve ‘awa made from roots grown on the island and harvested weekly. They also have Hawaiian food, including poi and other authentic Hawaiian dishes.
