10 Things You MUST Do in Oahu (You Will REGRET Missing This)

In this video I will be sharing with you the 10 things you MUST do in Oahu. I will be sharing my favorite hikes, beaches, food, and so much more. There is so much to do in Oahu so I hope this video helps you discover some great activities for your future trip.

The first place on my list is to visit Lanikai, which is most famous for the 2 beautiful islands right off the coast. If you want a view from above, I would highly recommend hiking the Lanikai Pillbox trail. When you reach the pillboxes, you are rewarded with stunning views of the 2 islands right off the coast. After completing the Lanikai pillbox hike, you can drive just a few minutes away to the pristine Lanikai beach.

Next up on the list is to visit the beautiful beaches of the North Shore. Some of my favorite beaches on the North Shore include Bonzai Beach, Sharks Cove, and Leftovers Surf Break. The famous Banzai Pipeline is located at Banzai Beach and is home to some of the biggest waves in the entire world. Less than a mile from Banzai beach is Shark’s Cove, where you can see some beautiful coral and swim with tons of different fish and marine life. For sunset, drive 2 and a half miles west of Shark’s Cove to Leftovers Surf Break.

While you’re on the North Shore, you might as well head to the next spot on my list, Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck. Giovanni’s has 2 locations on the North Shore, one in Haleiwa, and one in Kahuku. My favorite thing on the menu is the Garlic Shrimp Scampi. It's a simple meal, just garlic shrimp and white rice, but it really does live up to the hype.

Next up we are back to another incredible hike, this time to Olomana, otherwise known as Three Peaks. I hiked to the first peak, which took about an hour and a half, and from what I heard the first peak is home to the best view. Once you get to the top of the peak, you will be rewarded with some of the best views on the entire island.

Moving on to number 6 is downtown Honolulu. Just a few miles away from Waikiki are some great hidden gems inside the downtown area. There is tons to do in Honolulu, from exploring Chinatown, walking around the arts district and finding some great cheap eats.

The Diamond Head Crater Hike is just a few miles south east of central Waikiki, so it's a really convenient hike if you want some killer views close to your home base. The hike up Diamond Head Crater is short and sweet. It’s less than a mile each way, though it is a tiny bit steep. Once you get to the top, you are greeted with beautiful 360 degree views of the mountains, the ocean, and of course, the Honolulu skyline.

Leonard’s bakery has tons of delicious treats, but they are most known for their authentic malasadas. Malasadas are delicious pieces of fried dough with sugar on the outside, and sometimes even a filling in the middle. My favorite flavors are the original and the macadamia, though the chocolate, cinnamon, and guava are all close seconds.

Hanauma Bay is on the southeast corner of the island and is a protected area with some of the BEST snorkeling in all of Hawaii. Not only are you greeted with incredible views as you walk down toward the beach, but the water clarity and the underwater life is truly out of this world. Hanauma Bay is home to a variety of colorful fish, including Hawaii’s state fish, HumuHumuNukuNukuaPua'a.

Number 2 on my list is venturing out to the Kaneohe SandBar. The Kaneohe Sandbar is a GIANT sandbar in the middle of the ocean where you can stand up in crystal clear water, far away from shore. There aren't too many places in the world where you can stand in the middle of the ocean, enjoying panoramic views of blue water and lush green mountains all around you.

My favorite thing to do in Oahu Hawaii is to hike the Koko Crater Trail. The Koko Crater Trail takes you up a mountain, climbing only on old railroad tracks. Although a simple hike where it is nearly impossible to get lost, you’re in for quite the burn as you climb over 1,000 steps to reach the summit. At the summit you will have an incredible view of Hanuama Bay and every way you turn, you’ll see a different side of paradise.

I hope this video was helpful for your future trip to Oahu!
